I use found objects. I use paint. I use ideas gleaned from Dadaists and Conceptualists and techniques from Pop and Graffiti artists to create paintings and collages. My work is generally colorful and painterly. I use a combination of found and created objects in my collages.
My work strives to invite the viewer to smile and think. The images and topics appear to be simplistic and fun in a colourfully presented manner, yet deal with more thoughtful topics. I incorporate words. Words are found objects. I aim to be figurative and literal, both image orientated and literary, hoping the end result is textural.
